Work with stakeholders on projects to support and optimize decarbonization, reuse, and recycling strategies:

Engage Early and Evaluate:

Bring developers, contractors, and dealers into the conversation around reuse and low-carbon design in pre-design and pre-build stages. If possible, conduct evaluations of the existing space and assets with these stakeholders at the start of the project.

Make the Case to Brokers and Developers:

Involve brokers and developers in a high-level conversation around reuse and recycling. Less construction and less disruption will always save money and time for clients, so encourage brokers and developers to avoid promising, “We’ll just rip it out” to prospective tenants.

Seek out Salvage, Asset Management, and Recycling Resources:

Find asset management platforms and engage with local or national hubs for salvage and reuse of building materials.
